OUR CHOSEN CHARITIES.
With any profits from the Festival we have decided to support three local charities with whom we have close connections. They are: Jigsaw Bury; Bury Cancer Support Group and Eagles Wings Bury (Asylum Seekers support and social group)
Our main charity support goes to
'Musicians without Borders' (MwB)
www.musicianswithoutborders.org.uk
They will have a stand in the Festival concert venue and we hope that you will take the time to gather information on them to learn about their work and help support them.

Festival T-Shirts
2012 Festival t-shirts will be available for participants to buy IF you wish to do so.

The t-shirt will have the 2012 logo on it in full colour.  We also plan to put the
Musicians without Borders logo on the t-shirt as we feel that it reflects what the National Street Choirs Festival represents.

We will be sending out an email to all choir reps asking them to take orders from each choir for Festival t-shirts and as with last year we will be asking for all orders to be accompanied by the payment. This ensures that we aren't left with unpaid for t-shirts.

T-shirts will be black, because black shows the logos better.

FESTIVAL PARTICIPATION FEES:

1.  EACH choir submits a single payment for £30; this registers the choir.

2.  Each individual participant in every choir submits an individual entry form PLUS an individual
payment for either £30 full cost / or £25 concession**.
**(concessionary rate is for: students,unemployed, people on income support, pension credits, lone parent credit / allowance etc.)  We do not ask for proof of eligibility for the concession rate, it is the Festival's custom to expect participants to be honest about what they should pay.

                   REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.

What your 2012 fees pay for.
Participation fees are the main source of income for all the choirs who elect to host the Festival.
Bury Acapeelers have applied to two funding sources but the outcome of  these application will not be known until the end of June for one funder and mid-May for the second funder; so the participation fees are essential income to help us pay for the costs of running this large choir festival.  Of course, here is

no guarantee that we will receive anything from either of our funding applications so your particapation fees are critical to covering the cost of the festival.

What happens to any money that is left over after the Festival?
No host choir keeps any money for themselves.  All money received is used to pay for the festival running costs; some will go as donations to our nominated charities and the rest will be handed to next year's host choir in order to give them a starting off 'pot.'

Your 2012 fees will pay for:
*  Venue hire x 2 (sports hall for Friday and Saturday, college hire for Sunday workshops);
    plus all the paraphernalia that is associated with venue hire (chairs, tables etc that
    come at an extra cost for our key venue).
*  Events management and stage costs (including lighting and sound systems plus technicians
    to operate them)
*  Friday evening entertainment
*  Sunday workshop leaders
*  Each participant receives their own Festival bag which contains:-
    A festival programme with information about the weekend, timetables and participating choirs’

    information; a wrist band (this acts as a participant’s id to get in and out of the venues), a pen,
    a bottle of water and other items that we think will be of use to you over the weekend.
