Both of our venues are fully accessible for wheelchair users and participants who may have other mobility problems.
FRIDAY, 13th JULY
4pm - 9pm: Registrations at the leisure centre for participants taking part in the full weekend.
7pm – 11pm: Evening Entertainment

Sheffield Socialist Choir met this choir at the International Choral festival in Santiago de Cuba in 2003, 2005 and 2009. They have set up a project called" Voces de Cuba", to bring this exceptionally talented Cuban choir to the UK in 2012.
Camerata de Música Aúrea are formal guests of Sheffield City Council and Sheffield University. The Festival will be using funds to support this choir's travel costs. If you would like more information or can give financial support please contact info@vocesdecuba.org.uk
3. Alun Parry - A story telling musician, from Liverpool, Alun is well known for his slice of life lyrics and punchy performance style. He weaves social commentary into his tales, and political songs feature as part of his repertoire. http://parrysongs.co.uk/go/
4. A ceilidh - dance the night away; meet new people, dance with strangers and leave as friends!

SATURDAY, 14th JULY
8.30am – 9.30am Registrations for Saturday & Sunday Festival participants (at The Main Sports Hall, Castle Leisure

9.30am – 11.30am Rehearsal for massed sing (in the sports hall at Castle Leisure Centre)
12.00pm – 12.30pm Massed sing in Bury town centre
12.45pm – 3.15pm Individual choirs busking around Bury
3.15pm – 5.00pm Free time to eat and prepare for choir evening performances
5.15pm – 10pm Festival Choir Concert (in the sports hall at Castle Leisure Centre)
10pm – 1am Post-concert party / drinks at Automatic Café Bar (www.automaticcafe.com)
SUNDAY, 15th JULY
9.30am – 12.15pm WORKSHOPS
VENUE: Holy Cross College, Manchester Road, Bury, BL9 9BB (http://www.holycross.ac.uk)
The college is a 15 minute walk from the town centre.
(Please note: Holy Cross College is a Catholic Sixth Form College. It is the only suitable venue in the town centre area
to hold workshops and the only college / school in the town centre area that will open up on a Sunday).

There is a regular Sunday bus service (First Manchester bus number 135 passes the college every 15
minutes on a Sunday). It leaves from the Bury Bus and Metrolink Interchange. The college is 2 stops out
of the town centre and is on the main road towards Manchester. The bus stops directly outside the

PARKING: Parking in the college car park will be reserved for disabled Festival participants.
There is parking on Wellington Road beside the college and in surrounding streets.
12.30pm – 1.15pm Workshop Showcase - this is an opportunity for workshop leaders and participants to showcase
the product of their morning's work in order to enable new festival participants to see workshop leaders
in action and get an idea of what they missed elsewhere this morning! It is an opportunity for those
who want to, to share their morning's labours as well as for workshop leaders to 'advertise' their work
and individual styles.
1.20 – 1.40pm Choir reps meeting
2pm Final gathering: picnic, sing and farewells
Weather permitting we will gather in the park across the road from the college for the picnic
and final sing. If the weather is less than obliging then we will remain in the main hall of the college and
end our weekend in the main hall of the college where the showcase will have taken place.
